Do you feel that some pubs don't pull a full pint of beer ?
CAMRA have suggested that there is a case of "short measures" going on here.
Do people feel that the amount you get in your pint glass might differ from pub to pub ?

Yes it does differ , but if you'r not satisfied with what you'r paying for it's up to you to say so !!
it should be level with the top of the glass
my father, for a short time, worked as a health inspector. Part of his job was to make sure that food and drinks were being served properly. He had a Pyrex measuring cup that he took on wine shop and pub jobs with him. Most times, they will give you a stein or mug with a much thicker or indented base, so it looks the same height and size as a full pint, but is actually a few ounces less. They have all kinds of fun tricks for cheating you out of a few ounces here and there, while your eyes are telling you that you are getting the full amount.
They're right, there is a case for short measures. But like what's already been said it's up to you to make sure you get a proper glass full as far as you can.
Stick up for your rights. Demand to get what you've paid for I say !
Who cares if ur head is 5cm or 1cm it really doesnt matter as long as uve got 1 and its not ridiculously huge.
Do u really put thought in2 this, u need 2 get on wiv it and jus drink the bloo dy pint then get started on ur next one!
By law you have to get your full measure.........If you don't think it's correct ask you local weights and measures dept to pop in the pub and check for you............
I don't go to the pub I go to Felxistowe Blues bar. The music is always good and they serve Theakstons Old Peculiar.
The law allows 5% of your beer to be head. its up to you to decide as to whether your happy with what you get served.
I try never to serve a short pint and if I do I expect my customer to tell me!which they do if im busy and havn't noticed, and I top it up without question!!!
I would and I did in Preston lancs and got it slammed on the counter for my trouble but you really should say if you get small measures, there is really no excuse.
Yes, all you have to do is complain and 90% of pubs will top up, those that refuse are boycotted.
Most bar staff are trained to serve pints with a traditional head, which is usually bout 2cm, you have to just ask if they can top it up for you once it's settled, it's when customers start saying, 'im missin about 3 pence worth of beer in there, i want it toppin up, gotta get my moneys worth' that bar staff start gettin a tad irritated.....especially when they've already heard it about 10 times already lol!
