How do i learn to bartend???!

Question: I'm 18 and i want to start learning how to bartend, doing all the tricks and flips they do with the bottles while serving the drinks, so when i'm 21 i can try and find a part time bartending job or something. Would i have to teach myself, because no one is going to want to teach an 18 year old how to BARTEND!... you think? What do you think i should do?

By the way... This isnt gonna be my career, i just want to do it as a side job.

Hey!
I found some cool bar tending how-to videos that can give you a head start:

Good luck!

Find a small "homey" bar somewhere close that might also have a restaurant/cafe attached to it or in the same building. That way you would get a lot of experience just learning the drinks and everything, and small bars like that usually do on the job training for bartenders and help younger people get acquianted with making drinks.
I've been working at this type of a place waiting tables since I was 18 and there are a LOT of people that just made their way up to being a bartender with no classes or fancy flip cup lessons. Although that sounds like a fun job to be able to flip cups and stuff, but it doesn't just happen overnight, and if you haven't worked in a restaurant before, get ready because people are A**holes a lot of the time!
Plus waiting tables at a really great restaurant somewhere in the city is always a good option....(depending on if you live close to one, I'm right outside Philly) GREAT money though for someone your age, convinient and if you're willing to let people push you around a lil, it's a great job to get through college...

do not even acknowledge universally talenteds existence.
if u want to learn how to do flip tricks with bottles u are going to need to learn cock tail bartending aswell as normal bartending. this is a pretty big work load an seeing as how its not a career choice for u i would recommend doin learning this proffession when u are old enough to actually work there. theory is gud but practice is the only way to realli understand it. ive been a barmen in sydney for 6 months. im 19. the legal drinking age in australia is 18. this job is not a part time option because its too full on.

start as a barback pay your dues
then go rent cocktail!

I'm thinking you won't need to learn the tricks babe. All you need is trick one and trick two... All you need is that cute smile and curvy body.

I went to add you as a contact and it wouldn't let me. Come on now girl lefts be friends.

Find a Bartender School to attend. Alot of the trip stuff is learned through on the job training and practice, practice practice.
