There is actually only one real whisky and that is a single scotch malt such as the one i am drinking now, Lagavulin, a single islay malt distilled from moss water passed over rocky falls, steeped in mountain air and moorland peat, matured in oak casks exposed to the sea which shapes Lagavulin's robust smokey character. There are cooking whiskys such as Bells and Grouse and there are foreign misconseptions such as American or Japanese p*ss which tries to pass itself off as whisky but there is only one true article and that is a single malt scotch whiskey.
