What's the best value whiskey in the UK?!

Question: Either single malt or a blend.

Answers: Either single malt or a blend.

The Co-op's own brand is a blended whiskey that has an excellent flavour. It is reasonably valued too.

You do realise that "whiskey" - (as you spell it) - is an Irish drink?

Probably Jameson's.

if its cheap you want then supermarket own brand

he spelt whiskey right, you idiot

We have a book called "Supermarket Own Brand Guide" in which Martin Isark compares supermarket brands with the named brands.
Name Brand - Jameson Irish Whiskey
Recommended with 8 out of 10 is Co-op. Delaney's Irish Whiskey 40% £10.99
"Buy it. Different distillery from the brand, but it delivers comparable taste pleasure."

Try Tesco's, they do a blended whisky for just under £12.00 for a litre of full strength.
(Irish whiskey,Scottish whisky)

cat food do blends??????????????

Whiskey or whisky is a very poor drink, and the amount of money you pay for it has more to do with tax and greed and marketing than with what you intend to drink. Let us decide we need some grog for Christmas and need to knock up some good stuff. In the South we'll probably settle for starting with grapes or plums or peaches to make some good wine, then distill it, then possibly add the distilled spirit back into some of the good wine. In the North we'd use wonderful elderberries, or blackberries (brambles) rowanberries, cranberries, blueberries, cloudberries....or for the very poor potatoes. But would we seriously choose to make a very bad beer of barley no good for regular beer, and without hops, and distill that for our hooch? Then as the stuff is tasteless, add by-products of the sugar industry, some peaty water and a drop of sherry, port or stick it in old barrels to give it some flavour? Better advertise it as much as Coke.
Buy yourself some slivovitch or almonyac and consider the difference.

Asda whisky is good
