Is it legal for Bartenders in california to drink while on the job??!

Question: Can't speak for California, but in both Ohio and Illinois I have enjoyed shots with my bartenders. The laws as you may know do vary from state to state and as even from liquor license to liquor license. I'd say it more a choice of the owner, manager and individual than that of the state in which they work. I would often enjoy a beverage while tending on slow nights... Busy nights I would often limit my imbibing in order to stay sharp.
