Drink to accompany my cigar?!

Question:

Drink to accompany my cigar?

I am looking for a good drink to accompany my cigar. I am in a secret society at college and everybody is ridiuclously wealthy and educated in stuff like this. I'm looking to catch up and I'm constantly trying not to embarass myself.

What drink should I accompany my cigar with, to look like I know what I'm doing, and to also of course make my cigar/drink taste better.

I've recently begun smoking padron 1964 anniversary cigars. They are medium/fullbodied and have a chocolate/milky taste.

Answers:
you can't go wrong with a smooth bourbon like Maker's Mark, or scotch or good quality rum, but those two you have to know a little more about what you're looking for. mostly, drink what you like

A fine brandy or scotch are what my father always drinks with his cigars.

By the way, how secret is this society if you're telling people you're in it?

:o)

A good cognac like Remy Martin, Hennessy or Courvoisier. Folle Blanche is said to be particularly good with cigars.

I normally only have a cigar after dinner with the cheese board and the rotation of flavours one gets from a stilton, a puff on a cigar and a sip of Madeira is very agreeable.

Padron 1964 anniv. would go great with a nice Casa Noble anejo... make sure you serve it in a cognac snifter or in the Riedel tequila glass

You cannot go wrong with a good cognac. If you can afford it, Hennessy Richard is the most expensive stuff you can buy or a Remy Martin Louis XIII.

If thats too expensive, a Hennessy X.O. or V.S.O.P. would make you look like you know what you are doing.

Port Wine
