What's the best brand name to get, when it comes to brandy?!

Question:

What's the best brand name to get, when it comes to brandy?

Can anyone help me out please, thank you. also, when it comes to brandy and scotch, do you drink it straight up on the rocks or can you mix it with something?

Answers:
there are lots of brand names
Remy martins Louis xiii
Meukow
Hennessy vsop
Landy vsop
Ferrand
Croizet vsop
Martell nobilge

For cognac brandy, the 4 most wel know names are Remy Martin, Martell, Hennessy & Couvoisier. Cognac should be appreciated and taken straight.
There are far more scotch choices but Johnny Walker and Chivas are the most well known for blended scotch. Glenlevet and Glenfiddich are the most well known single malt. Scotch is best appreciated straight or just with ice.

Please keep this in mind my friend " All cognac is brandy, but not all brandy is cognac". If you call a brandy a cognac that isn't you might anger some poor french guy.
All cognac has to come from the cognac valley or else it cant be called that. That region has a special climate that effects the grapes differently then anywhere else. You will find your most important distillers in this region.
Louis xiii --is good
Grandmeirner (sp)- depending on which one you get is good
Courvosiea(sp)-is good

All of these should be done either straight up or possibly with a little rocks.

remy martin, hennessey. straight up or mixed with apple juice or cola. some people prefer to drink it on the rocks, but this detracts from the flavor somewhat. some dilute scotch a bit with a splash of water. it's a matter of preference.
