Asti Martini is my favourite.
It's pleasantly sweet and costs £6 ($12) a bottle.

Sangre de Toro, a red wine, of Torres
White wine from Bach, semisweet

i like yellow tail(red wine)*

Go to your local independant WIne Shop and ask them. Tell them what kind of cheese you are serving and they will suggest what to go with it that will suite your taste. That is why they have their own shop. They will gladly match your taste as well as your pocket book.

There is a white wine made out of gewatztraminer grapes. One of the brands is Fetzer. It is delicious, fruity, not dry and cheap. I bought a couple of bottles at Costco for $12 last week.
