Do mixed drinks (i.e., coke and rum) give you a worse hangover than straight liquor?!

Question: YES!!!!

What gives you the hangovers (for the most part) is all the sugar in those mixed drinks. I know they taste great, BUT if you were just to drink the same amount of straight liquor as you would in a mixed drink you will be feeling much better the next morning.

No

I wouldn't think so since straight liquor has a higher alcohol content.

It does for me...I like to drink my spirits straight, but when I put any mixer in them my hangover is much much worse.

not at all. same amount of liquor same hang over. it depends more on how much you consume, what you've had to eat and how big you are.

Nopee

Yes, if you're drinking the same amount of liquor but you add sugary drinks like coke you will experience a worse hangover than if you kept it straight or just mixed with water.
That's simply because sugar contributes to dehydrating you and also increases your heart rate thus it pumps the alcohol to your brain faster

Well, you could argue the opposite. Since a hangover is mainly dehydration, having some coke (which is loaded with water and sugar) with each drink is going to be beneficial (albeit, marginally, since alcohol is a diuretic).
