Swiss wine - Schaffizer?!

Question:

Swiss wine - Schaffizer?

swiss semi-dry red wine

Answers:
Probably you've tried some "Schafiser" - Schafis is a small village at Lake Biel/Bienne just at the cultural language border between German- and French-speaking parts of Switzerland.

The village's homepage is in German and French only - but already on the entry page you'll notice all the vineyards!

The second link leads to the six wine producers of the village - with 100 inhabitants...!

I couldn't find any wine of that name, but there is a region in Switzerland called Schaffhausen where some red wines are made. One is Rutishauser Winzergold Hallau AOC Pinot Noir Spatlese which might be off-dry.
