Sherry is meant to be drunk in small sips, but then again, so is wine. Do what you like. Shoot, if you want to, drink it straight out of the bottle.
If you are asking if it's ok to SERVE sherry in a wine glass, that would also be acceptable. Choose the smallest wine glasses you have, and do not fill as much as you would with wine.
My grandmother used to serve sherry to her bridge club in tea cups........that way, if the men walked in, they claimed they were drinking tea.
