I love Bundaberg Rum.....but?!

Question:

I love Bundaberg Rum.....but?

I have put on a lot of weight as a result of enjoying Bundy too much.
Is there a low KJ's alcohol, or should I just add Diet/Zero coke, does that really make a difference?

Answers:
Above person makes some very good points. Another great thing about drinking diet mixers is they increase your alcohol absorbtion so you get more drunk on less alcohol (and therefore less kilojoules). Drinking through a straw has the same effect.

Another thing, I know a lot of people also put on weight when drinking because of the food they eat when drunk! Think nuts, chips, kebab at the end of the night.... This can prevented by having a decent protein and carb meal before drinking, not taking much money if going out and taking healthy drinking snacks (eg those low fat sakatas) if going to someones house.

If you are also prone to hungover munchies the next day, lotsa water and a glass of OJ before bed usually helps.

Bundy drinker!

Using diet or coke 0 will make a huge difference in your kj intake. Real soft drink has oodles of kj. It will more than double the kj's in your Bundy and soft drink. Just read the side of the soft drink bottle and the Bundy bottle they will tell you how many kj per 100mls or standard drink. Unfortantly their aren't any low kj spirits just beers and wine.
