Want to buy store, with liquor license but right next door there is a problem?!
it has a parking lot and after seeing the financial report it seems to let me at least profit about 60k a year
although it also has a liquor license, but they didnt put liquor out yet b/c the owner is not around supposedly
after i did some research i found out that right next door there is a LIQUOR STORE too....
even though they are making good income without liquor do you think i should go for it? or if i do should i put up liquor?
do you think i will profit at all?

I would spend my money on items that go with your neighbors produce....compliment each other by increasing both business and drawing more traffic; they sell the liquor and you cater to selling good food.....how about selling single serving frozen dinners from the best restaurants in town.....the cost of the dinner plus your mark up.....or snack foods that goes well with wine.
loook at some other places first before u make ur decision
Ask an attorney about things like pocketing or selling the licence . Your insurance rates . etc. Most small business' fail within a year because of lack of experience . That is why people choose franchises . If it makes no difference otherwise you might want to sell just beer as this is a "convienence item" People will go to the liqure store because they will have better prices for other things .
You need an education to be in charge of even a small store in today's USA market .
