Alcohol, i know the negatives?!

Question:

Alcohol, i know the negatives?

but i want to hear peoples opinions, i dont need any facts and figures, whats it like for you? do you enjoy a nice glass of wine after a meal? find social gatherings easier? tell me what you think of alcohol

Answers:
Great to relax, hang out with mates, or just as an accompaniment to a nice meal. Spent some time working in a Muslim state last year and the only time I really missed alcohol was with dinner - a glass of Coke does not come close to a nice crisp Sancerre.

i like it. a few drinks with friends is good - or a massive party. a general feeling of tipsyness in the room is great fun with mates

I think its great for unwinding after a stressful day.Only problems are if you have too much, then it makes the next day more stressful with the banging head and nausea

in company im shy a few drinks and i have the confidence to not only speak but have good coversations. At a party its funny when a few people have a few to many it just gives you memories to look back on

Alcohol is a true gift from heaven. I just love it. It's not that I'm an alcoholic or something like that, it's just that I truly enjoy it. A glass of wine is a great companion to food I eat for dinner. A glass of beer is lovely when we all get together and watch a game or have some pizza. As an aperitif there's always Serbian sljivovica (plum brandy) or Pelinkovac. They're great for your blood circulation! Once I go to parties and I don't know anyone, it's great to rely on alcohol, since it helps you get over that social barrier. Of course, don't get too wild with alcohol. You should always know your limits.

It's fun.

Not neccessary for me. I don't need dehydrating my body does the for me enough!

Quite a fitness fanatic (Swim, cycle, run) so I steer clear. It was hard at first but, don't even miss it now.

I binge drunk my way through my twenites and don't drink anymore, sober for 4+ years with the help of Alcoholics Anonymous. Best thing I ever did.

I love red wine, the taste and foods (or chocolate) it accompany's. I think having a glass of wine out or at a party definately makes me feel "looser" and more sociable. The warm glow is just so darn pleasant!
