Do people really drink 20 beers a day for years and years?!
I would say beer is marginally better than spirits (they're both liquors) but only because you keep a steady buzz going. If you mix the spirits and control how fast you drink then you might get a similar buzz but you just can't beat beer. Its almost impossible to get seriously drunk (the unpleasant feeling) because you're more likely to puke as a result of the liquid and gas as opposed to the alcohol

Sure they can and sure they do. I can't do stuff like that anymore - in fact it is hard for me to get through 12. At most I can get through 10 but I usually get bored.

Some do. It's called "The slow bullet". I have 13 years sober as of March 29 th, and it took a long time to realize that I was killing myself with a bottle, even though I had been hospitalized for bleeding from the stomach.

I dont know if 20 beers for years and years daily is actually possible - due to the money to get the beer and so forth, however they are probably obese, VERY out of shape (VERY unhealthy) and have personality issues. I'm pretty sure there are people who drink a couple beers everyday though.
