Answers: it tasted more sweet than alcohol. it was a dark red kinda purple. i was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on what it coulda been. it was like 6-10 percent alcohol. my friend said she had some sweet wine and i tasted it, it tasted strong. the one i had was sweet.
It could have just been a flavoured wine beverage like a blackberry merlot or something of this type or a mild dessert wine/icewine they tend to be very sweet and taste strong but are actually quite mild the sweetness makes them taste stronger.

Could be Icevine... it's a German wine they make using the grapes after they've frozen on the vine.
There's another variety by the Germans that's even sweeter than Icevine, but I've forgotten what it was called. Check Google, though.
A great sweet wine, (my favorite wine actually) Oliver Soft Red Wine from southern Indiana. very delicious! I love it with french bread and mozzarella cheese!
