What wines do you like in the under $20 range?!

Question: I have a few that I like, but would like to try some new ones. I have a few places nearby with good selections, I just never know which ones will be a good buy.

Kim Crawford does a gorgeous peppery Sauvignon Blanc.

They also have a REALLY nice unoaked Chardonnay that should be the pattern after which all those tree-killing California vintners should pattern their products.

I'm also a fan of Mumm Napa's Blanc de Noir sparkling wine. It's a rose', surprisingly and can be gotten for as low as 15 bucks if you find it at the right time. very smooth. total crowd-pleaser. Mumm is also my favorite NV champagne maker, but you ain't getting that for under 20.

Lastly, Chateau Mouton Rothschild's Mouton Cadet offers a red AND a white Bourdeaux for an excellent price that is widely available. If I had that with dinner every night, I'd consider my life charmed.

I like the Riesling (German) wines.

Boones farm? LOL j/k

I like a nice blush wine. Kinda fruity in flavor

my fiance and i are daily drinkers, so we buy wine on the cheap...we both like Barefoot; he likes the Cabernet, i like the Chardonnay..the Pinot Grigio is pretty good, too.

he also likes Penfolds Rawson's Retreat for Cabernet

if you like full bodied wines I would recommend the wines from the Rioja region in Spain. Marqués de Risqual is one of my favorite. Marqués de Caceres is one of the most easy to find.

If you like reds, my first recco would be Chateau St Jean Merlot, I think 2006, for 12.99. The cabernet needs to breath for several hours to mello out. St Michelle is good too. Two other favorites are ESP Syrah and Alamos Malbec.

believe it or not.....Barefoot is pretty darn good for a low price wine.....really...

I only buy New Zealand Sauvignon's- good ones are White Haven, Brancott, Nobilo. They are not oaky (which I don't care for) and are grapefruity and crisp. Very nice for the summer. I have never had a friend who has not commented on how good the wine I serve is! All of those are around 10-14 depending on your wine shop prices. Do you have any suggestions?

Yellow Tail - it's an Australian wine. Has a picture of a kangaroo on the bottle.
They have all sorts: Shiraz, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Riesling

it really doesnt matter, but you know none is better that the old 20 year old stuff.

I like St. James made in St. James Missouri

Velvet Red and Cherry are excellent. Very sweet and about 8 dollars.
