You may want to consider mixing with with a few juices and liqueurs (peach schnapps, melon liqueur, triple sec, etc.) You would be able to make so many drinks with more ingredients...but those are good options!

Cranberry is meh. OJ does it for me. It's thicker and with the right vodka, it's just so smooth and silky.
Apple juice isn't bad, either. Make sure it's really cold, though.
