What is the best thing to eat before a long night of drinking?!

Question:

What is the best thing to eat before a long night of drinking?

Answers:
Try something heavy like pasta or anything with bread, helps absorb it and not absorb into your bloodstream as fast

Starchy foods, along with plenty of water or gatorade.

Also chug a gatorade when you get home, and the hangover won't be as bad.

mcdonalds fries

A greasy burger or something like that. It will coat your stomach and help you last longer. Pace yourself and try not to get Pig Drunk and keep your wits about you.

Anything with a high fat content tends to stay in the body longer because it's not as easily digested. Try cheeses. They are full of fat and will help absorb some of the toxicity, thus depleting the severity of hangovers

Carbs. Anything with a lot of carbs. Like Italian Food.

Something that will not taste bad coming back up.

Protein and carbs! Takes a while for them to digest - think a hamburger, plate of pasta and bread, etc...Works for me!

Eat protein(meat) a drink plenty or water.

a banana

Something nice and fatty, aswell as lots of water, it will be your saviour! Also, don't try anything you have never eaten before, it may disagree with alcohol and there goes your night!

No, not carbs. Protein and fat. The protein will help your body deal with the excess blood sugar the alcohol will give it, and the fat will coat your stomach and slow the absorbtion.

Just stay away from chili dogs or anything greasy. When that comes back up.......... UGH!! It's an old wives tale to drink oil or eat greasy foods before drinking. Have a ham sandwich.

Pizza! with lots of sausage. The grease will help coat the stomach and the bread will help you keep from getting sick.
Don't drive!

crackers...or anything with starch, wheat, stuff like that.

Before a Cubs game I usually have a couple of hot dogs. That gets me through the game. After the game we usually hit one of the area bars and have more beer and a pizza or something. Then it's to a liquor store and our 20 mile drive home.

To answer your question...hot dogs.

Tacos from Jack In The Box.

pizza with everything /no fishes

I don't know if this works for everyone but I eat bloody steaks and veggies

Chew a couple of Ginseng roots. Your hangover won't be as bad if you have one at all.

anything high in protein...I suggest wings!

Any thing bready is good. Also if you want to skip the hang over in the morning, try and get a glass of water between drinks. It will keep you hydrated and slow you down just a bit.
