What`s the best bloodymary drink.and what brand vodka.?
Answers:
Do not use a bloody mary mix. It tastes much better if you make the drink yourself. First place 1.5 ounces of vodka (Stolichnaya is my favorite) in a 12 oz. glass filled with ice. Then pour tomato juice or V8 to nearly the top. Flavor with Tabasco or Frank's red hot sauce, two dashes of Worcestershire, salt and pepper, then stir with a celery stalk.
Adjust additions to taste.
Look up a bloody mary recipe on the web. As far as the vodka, honestly, it's all pretty much the same, regardless of what some experts might tell you. I spoke once with an employee of a major vodka manufacturer and bottler, and he told me that his company sells a famous name brand, and a cheaper discount vodka as well....turns out that the exact same vodka is poured into both types of bottles, with no difference between them at all. So, when you buy the more expensive "brand name" vodka, you're simply paying more for the name, not for the quality of the vodka.
Grey Goose, Belvedere, Kettel One, Level are all very good vodkas. Absolute is Ok, and there is definately a difference in vodkas especially how you feel the next day.
I actually prefer a gin Bloody mary made with Bombay Blue Sapphire.
I like bloodymarys with V8 juice, a little horseradish, a couple of drops of worstershire sauce, and just a light squeeze of a piece of lime and stirred well. If you like the taste of vodka, it really doesn't matter which brand you choose. I personally like absolut which comes in different flavor--try the pepper or citron. If you dislike the taste of vodka, try a triple or greater distilled vodka like grey goose. Keep mixing and sampling untill you find the right mix of tomato, spice and booze taste to suit you. You'll either find nirvana, or be too drunk to care
put ice into tall glass ,ad 2 1/2 oz Smirnoff add V-8,add tiny bit of woo sauce, add small amount of bitters, sprinkle tiny bit of salt, garnish with carrot stick and parsley
50ml Premium Vodka (Stolichnaya / Finlandia / Ketel One / U'Luvka)
6 good dashes Worcestershire Sauce (Lea & Perrins Brand)
4 good dashes Tabasco Sauce
1 pinch of celery salt
12 twists black pepper (from Kerala if possible)
1/4 tsp Horseradish Sauce
1/4 tsp Colemans English Mustard
1 tsp Port
15ml Fresh squeezed Lemon Juice
90ml Tomato Juice (or even better, home made passata, chilled)
5ml Dry Sherry
Method: Combine all except the Sherry in a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice, then gently agitate (do not shake hard!) to mix and chill.
Strain the mixture into an ice-filled 14oz glass and float the sherry on top.
Garnish: A twist of black pepper, celery stick (halved lengthways) and a cherry tomato on the rim.
Try a pepper-flavored vodka like Absolut Peppar
Stoli vodka and add horseradish to the tomato juice, and maybe some black pepper.
