Any ideas for a company wide wine sales contest?
I need to develop a creative wine sales contest for my restuarant company, and I'm a little stuck. Does anybody have any creative ideas or contests the've ran in the past. If so, e-mail me at

first off educating your staff about wine is absolute key,things like pre shift wine tastings and food pairings work very well for me. It is amazing how many wine lovers I have created with this simple approach. Of course rewards also work well, most of the rewards are products that you can get grattis from the distributer or the winery itself. from wine keys to free trips. Also gift certificates to other great restuarants or gift visa cards are a huge insentive
Put everyone on teams and give points for each glass and bottle sold. The winning team at the end of the week gets a prize or cash. Also hold daily contests to see you can sell the most per shift like a free meal pass, manager cooks your food pass, etc.
I'll just drink tons of it! Then your sales will be sky-high!!!
