Should people under 21 bee able to drink alcohol ?!

Question:

Should people under 21 bee able to drink alcohol ?

Answers:
Absolutely. There is nothing magical about the age of 21 that suddenly enables one to drink responsibly . . . as the great many numbers of irresponsible people over that age can attest.

I think that the legal drinking age should be less than the legal driving age. That way people find out how much it takes to get them drunk before they find themselves stuck somewhere and decide to try to drive home.

Perhaps we should eliminate the legal age limit altogether. If we remove any restrictions on it, then alcohol consumption won't seem cool and mysterious anymore. Many European countries don't have legal age limits . . . kids grow up knowing how to drink responsibly, so they don't have problems with binge drinking like kids in this country do.

No, but that never stopped me.

no!!!

They shouldn't be able to do anything, but take out the garbage.

No, because it is illegal to drink under 21 since alcohol can cause several disorders like blurry vision, impaired driving, etc.

Well in australia, the restriction is below 18 only....but even then, nothing stops the 15,16,17 yr olds from having any alcohol. If they have access to older siblings, friends, easy parents....they'll definitely have greater access to alcohol

Yes. Without alcohol college would be really shitty.

Well, I think laws were put in effect to protect us, not to hinder us from a good time. If you or whomever can wait until the legal age of 21, then that already shows you have good will power and a good sense of responsibility. So being that the law says no, then I'd have to agree. Take you're time, soon you'll look back and only wish you were still under 21!!!

They should either lower the drinking age to 18 or raise the age to enter the armed services to 21. I think it's a damn shame that this country thinks your too young to drink at 18 but your old enough to fight and die in a war.
