Do different drinks have different effects on you?!

Question:

Do different drinks have different effects on you?

For example, Lager makes me dance like a mad `un
Vodka makes me violent- and i always pick on the biggest fella I can find!
Alcopops make me sick.
Wine gives me a corking hangover - but nothing else.

Answers:
Vodka i can drink like water and never get drunk regardless off the amount i drink.

white rum (Bacardi) i only have to have 2 and I'm off my face

gin makes me cry

my hubby will not drink Stella.. he becomes so stroppy on it and will try to argue with everyone... he now drinks becks and is like a lamb!!

And when I'm in the mood I drink a "Harvey Wallbanger"

Yes they do have different effects on you but the effect isn't the same across all people. It depends on your tolerance to a certain percentage of alcohol, the ingredients in that alcohol, what it is mixed with, where you are when you drink it, your mood etc. The variables are huge, but as a bar tender I have seen first hand how different drinks affect different people. I find dark rum makes people angry!

try two shots of Tequila with lemon, it will heat you from inside, you will be desparate for the biggest ever fella of the lifetime

i for one do not drink alcohol because i am epileptic and am taking medication for epilesy..to me it sounds that the more proof in a drink and the more concentrated the drink and the stronger it is the more it makes you violent vs. wine and something easy since your body is sort of immune to the drinks you have..it also depends on how tall, skinny, weight, and how many drinks you consume with in a certain time that can make you also behave like this..the more or the bigger the drink the more wasted you get like maybe some beer or something like that..different drinks which are non alcoholic have diff. affects on me:coke and pepsi will keep me up for another good couple of hours or until early morning if i drink it before bed..sprite and fresca are non-caffinated make me fall asleep faster and flavored water and reg. water has no affect on me

yes- red wine and I'm dancing, over confident and don't usually remember the night before

Bacardi or spirits I'm good with i just get talkative and like to dance

alcopops give me heart palpitations or make me sick

and as for mixing drinks lets not go there

yeah its actually based on the amount of sugar in the alcohol

Love Southern comfort but it makes me cry ,lager gives me the trots (sorry had to say that ) wine as you said what a whopper of a headache next day ,but i love Tia marie and coke with lots of ice yummy can drink them till it comes out my ears .xx

Whatever I drink I become talkative and just become silly - but in a fun way...

i have noticed that Bacardi has the biggest impact on me.

I can drink Vodka and Tequila and not notice the difference, plus I dont wake up with a hangover with these...

Not sure why, but maybe its that I'm not use to Bacadi, as I only drink it round my mates house... maybe because he spikes it, as I wouldnt notice the difference with or without drugs...

yea i guess, u kinda answered ur own question............

wine makes me rough as a badgers the next day
vodka i get happy on
whisky i just dont like
bacardi has the same effect as vodka
pernod makes me want to fight with the world and his wife

pernod makes me throw up.

vodka makes me forget totally the next day what i have done.

beer bloats me out.

For some reason alcopops make me feel sick and don't get me drunk at all...

The chemicals in the different drinks mix with the chemicals in your body in different ways. Some have more sugar, or different kinds of sugars. Others have more alcohol or in a different ratio to sugars and other ingredients.

White wine - No effect at all, not even drunk!
Red wine - Very, very sleepy... Horrible hangover next day.
Vodka - SICK!
Lager - Gets me quite drunk. Makes me point a lot when talking and gives me mad munchies.
Guinness - Makes me want to smoke more...
