Can you describe how being drunk on absinthe is different from being drunk on a lot of alcohol?!

Question: I think only one person who answered you might have actually drunk Absinthe. Well, know maybe two people have because I HAVE drunk it.

Being drunk on Absinthe is very different. The best way to describe it is for every one glass of Absinthe you have, it feels like you have taken a hit of pot and drank half a beer.

No green fairies sorry.

P.S. Absinthe is very very bitter and extremely high in alcohol. It also has a strong black liquorish flavor. Don't try to drink it straight. Read up on the internet on the proper ways to prepare and drink it, most of them involve mixing it with a certain amount of water and sugar for flavors sake. Trust me, you don't want to drink it straight!

Also, legal Absinthe in the U.S. doesn't have nearly as much of the active ingredient as the illegal stuff does. Order it online from Europe.

To the best of my knowledge, Absinthe is illegal because it causes severe brain damage.

Edit:
OOOh...sorry to take up your "time" (you didn't ask specifically for "sources") Here you go:

(If you wanted "specific" info, YA isn't the best place to ask!!)

Never tried it... but found this.

Absinthe makes the mind go wander !

On absinthe.., u vomit & see green fairies; on alotta alcohol... pretty much the same thing... but in addition to cops cuz the latter is illegal n chances are u did in a safe place....

Think little green fairies spinning around your head.

I'll let you know a week from now.

By the way, Absinthe is now legal in the US because it is known that the effects have been greatly exaggerated; it does not cause you to hallucinate. However, the effects of Absinthe and alcohol ARE different to some extent depending on the brand you purchase. Some brands are pure hype and marketing schemes, others are genuine. It is said that the effect of good Absinthe is a clear headed drunkenness.

I've had half a bottle of 179.8 proof Hapsburg gold one night and the only difference between that and other alcohol is it really messes you up quick.. My throat burnt the whole night but honestly its the same drunken feeling.. Maybe there wasn't enough thujone in it, but i'm pretty sure I agree with the findings that the chemical doesn't actually make you hallucinate.

absinthe is way hardcore, so it messes you so much quicker than just alcohol
