Alcohol, for many reasons.
1. When you're high on weed, the last thing you want to do is start a fight, hit someone, and/or physically abuse a woman/kid.
2. Alcohol causes people to black out, which is far worse than passing out due to smoking too many joints.
3. A stoner has rarely woken up next to a stranger and wondered "What the hell happened last night"
4. You've never heard of someone getting rage issues after smoking a few.
5. Marijuana = Peaceful, Alcohol = Aggro.
6. Marijuana doesn't give you a terrible hangover the next day.
Alcohol!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not one case has been reported about someone over-dosing on this, unlike with liquor you can die from intoxication.

IT depends - some people will have a problem with one or the other and some folks will have no problem with either one.
Some folks' genetic code makes it so they're prone to cancer at the slightest intake of smoke, others are prone to cancer from alcohol - like Single Malt Scotch is linked to Colon Cancer.
My personal opinion is neither one is bad in moderation.

Can kill . It is mind altering to the state of not remembering what you have done, reacting eratically to some situations, violence, driving causing accidents. etc
Marijuana is more personal. Paople tend to be more sympathetic while under the influence, therefore reacting with more empathy.
However, I guess in both cases it depends on how much you take.
