Anyone excited about this new beer from NewBelgium?!

Answers: Beers? Its called Trippel because it is a triple ferment beer similar to Chimay. It may be 9% alcohol by volume by the time you open it. Hope they send it out widely.

I can't get New Belgium stuff on the east coast, but I do like Trippels. The most recent trippels I've had are Weyerbacher's Merry Monks and Victory's Golden Monkey. They both weigh in around 9% abv. (Check em out here):

There's a lot of really good craft beers widely distributed in the us, and many of them have a higher alcohol content. These are some good beers that have higher abv's:
Unibroue La Fin Du Monde (from Canada)
Ommegang Abbey Ale
Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre
Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine
Duvel
Oh, Arrogant Bastard is not a stout, it's a 'strong ale'. But the company that makes AB, Stone, makes excellent beer.
There's really so much good stuff out there, I'd suggest trying new styles and see what else you like. There's also a lot of good websites to help you learn about beer:

I'm just excited about beer in general, but I've tried Trippel, and wasn't to fond of it. Of the 150+ ive tried, it's one of 5 beers i'll never drink again, 9% or not. That's just me though, to each his own.
I like Fat Tire pretty good!
I think that 1554 is the only New Belgium beer that actually impressed me. Mind you I don't think that they make bad beer I just... Much like my own local Goose Island... think that they make watered down beer. Maybe the I'll like it Goose's Pere Jacques is a Dubbel and is the first Goose I ever truly loved. I'll have to pick it up when Jewel gets it in.
As far as widely distributed goes... I think Sprout mentioned Ommegang and Unibroue... Dogfish Head... Great Lakes... Bell's... Founder's... New Holland... 3 Floyd's... Two Brother's... Goose Island's Reserve line... Just to name a few. If you are near Wisconsin try New Glarus... I just had the Belgian Red for the first time and I'm fighting the craving to open the other three bombers.
