What is a top shelf brand of gin & vodka?!
What are some really good brands?
Answers: I am going to a dinner party tonight & I am bringing liquor as a gift for the host (he likes gin & vodka) but I don't know anything about liquor.

Gin - Bombay Saphire, Tanqueray Ten,
Vodka - Grey Goose,
i like tanguray for gin and grey goose for vodka. gin's got more of a bite but both go down smooth.
I like Gray Goose vodka.
Since he already has a penchant for Vodka & Gin, I'm sure he's tried the usual call brands that most folks have listed and swear by. I would recommend getting him something a bit more off the beaten path. Something he normally wouldn't buy for himself.
Gin: Bluecoat (beautiful blue bottle), Tanqueray Rangpur, Boodles, Hendrick's or Quintessential
Vodka: Chopin, Pravda, Blavod (unique black vodka), Ciroc, Level, Ketel One, Armadale, Stolichnaya "Elit", Pearl (they have a plethora of unique flavors)
These aren't brands that people seek out on the regular, but they are all quite fabulous in their own right. (I make it a point to try a new brand of liquor when I can.)
