Drinking and driving?!
Answers: Have you ever done it, when do you know when you fully can't drive? Because I seem to be fine after a few shots like 4 shots. How do I know when it is time to hand my keys over to my friends to drive. How drunk do I have to be?
You might be okay after 4 shots, but there are so many factors involved. How fast did you drink them, how much do you weigh, did you drink on an empty stomach, how often do you drink...the list goes on. I think if you're unsure about whether or not you should drive, you should not drive.
maybe try abiding to the limit of units allowed lol. 4 shots is too much to drive. you may think you are fine to drive, but that's the drink telling you that lol. hand your keys over it's better to be safe than sorry.
in men, the limit is about 4 units and in women it's about 3
but that obivously depends upon your size/weight/.build/metabolism
i'd guess that there's between 1 and 1.5 units per shot
but really they (government, who else) suggest that you should generally try to avoid alcohol altogether before getting behind the wheel of a car
Don't drive after you've drunk any alcohol is the best rule. Alcohol add's to our inhibitions so we feel more confident, etc. Think of your family, loved ones etc. and then ask yourself how you'd feel if they were killed by a drunk driver. Harsh words but a good reality check.
Plenty of sites on the web showing pickies and telling sad sad stories of the ruin a drunk driver can cause
Legally it is not a question of how you feel but what your BAC is. In most states if you are over .08 you are considered legally drunk. It is one of the only crimes that you are presumed guilty before you have a trial. If you have any doubt at all hand over your keys.
I'm one of those drunks that I could be falling down and I still say I'm not drunk. Legally, I think you can only have one (or two depending on your sex and size) before you're over the limit.
I know its inconvenient to try and figure out how to get your car home, but going to jail is probably much more inconvenient.
I assume since you're even debating this question, you've never had a friend or family member hit and killed by a drunk driver. It sucks. It sucks more than you could know.
Try having your Mom just driving home from work and get slammed by drunk driver. You sit with her in the hospital for her last few hours til she finally dies. Meanwhile the drunk driver is walking around without even a scratch.
Please, if you know you will be having more than a couple drinks (within an hour or so) hand over your keys before you even start.
Why risk it? Even if its a little? Driving is dangerous enough as it is. Why add alcohol to the equation?
yep
i have drivin drunk many of times i usually don't after about 10 shots or brews
DON'T DO IT, it is stupid, you get caught dui's cost a lot of money, cuz my friends have gotten them, I never have, and you could get your license revoked after just a few
DON'T mix driving with DRINKING
you should give your keys to someone before YOU start to drink as one drink is to much,
i was driving with a hangover 2 times
You don't sound old enough to drink, asking a ridiculous question like that...
