Which 1800 Tequila is best?!

Question: I was planning to pick up some 1800 Tequila, but haven't tried any of them yet. Which is best: Silver or Reposado?

Are either of them really good (or better) compared to regular Jose Cuervo (which is all I've ever tried)?

1800 brand is better than Cuervo because it's made from 100% Agave. Cuervo is made from bleached sugar.

The types they have depend on your preference. Silver is bottled immediately after manufacture. Resposado (rested) is aged for a minimum of two months and up to one year. Then there is A?ejo (aged) for a minimum of one year.

It takes on more of the oak or smokey flavor the longer it rests.

What ever taste you like better is the best.
I recommend going to a mexican restuaraunt and ordering a flight of tequila to find which one you like best so you don't waste your money.

Despite what others say... Resposado is not trash tequila. It's quite refined. Training wheels are only needed when you are just looking to get buzzed and not appreciate the flavor tequila has to offer. I recommend sipping tequila along with sangrita. It's a mixture of tomato & citrus juices. The tequila and sangrita are poured into separate shot glasses and the two are alternately sipped, not chased. First the tequila, then the chilled sangrita. Slowly, one after the other.

Patron is an OK brand, I believe there are much better ones:
Milagro (check their website, they have some fabulous collectible bottles.) Don Julio is a fantastic brand too. Also Casa Noble & Gran Centenario.

Patron is the Maker's Mark of Tequilla..... Cuervo is garbage, Reposado is too. If you want to spend a little money get Cabo Wabo... if you haven't had Tequilla before get some training wheels (limes and salt) my Mexican buddies eat lemons while drinking it.

Silver tequila is for making margaritas, resposado and anejo are for sipping. Sauza Tres Generations is great as well as Don Julio and Patron

Silver tequila
