Should I drink Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot after dinner ?!

Question:

Should I drink Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot after dinner ?

Answers:
Drink whichever you like best

Of course not, you drink wine WITH dinner.

What did you eat for dinner, and what are you going to be eating with it?

It all depends. Personally, I like Merlot.

Go for the Cabernet. I prefer Merlot myself, but just go nuts and have the Cab.

it depends on what u are eating. if you eat a steak or any other kind of meat then u should shoud the merlot, and if you have chicken the sauvignon but if u are eatin fish than u should try a pinot

Neither are after dinner drinks. You drink them with dinner or before with appetizers. I love a Cabernet Sauvignon with paella or Spanish ham. I literally cannot eat paella without a glass of cab sav.

Get a Cotes de Beaune, or a Cotes De Beaune Villages at worst. Louis Jadot 1998 is a nice one. Try it.

i dont like merlot so i say have the cabernet.

You shoudn't drink eithor one of them after dinner and unless you're drinking a Chateau Petrus you really shouldn't drink unblended Merlot at all

Merlot. Goes better with the sharp cheddar cheese as an after dinner treat

AFTER dinner?

I would say merlot, if you aren't eating dessert.

I would say drink the cab if you are eating chocolate.

both are heavy bodied reds and go better with red meats. they are better had with dinner but if you prefer you could try the cabernet sauvignon as it is lighter bodied in the two.

Both wines you are talking about there are better with dinner and with red meat.

If you want an after dinner wine to drink try a port, tawny or an ice wine with some dessert or even without dessert as they are a nice treat on their own.

I thought we were getting over all the old restrictions on when to drink what wines. If you like merlot after dinner, drink it. If you like cabernet sauvignon, drink it. If you like Boone's Farm, drink it. It really ought to be up to you.
Unless there is someone you are trying to impress. Find out what he or she likes and serve it. Good luck.

OOO!! good question buddy! Depends on what your eating. If it's Italian food, i'd say cabernet, because it's a bit more rich, and goes with the style of food quite nicely. however, so does merlot. you pose a very difficult question, and the answer lies in what u are eating. try a little expirimenting, and find your best preference. good luck, and have tons of fun trying ;-)
