Beginners drinks?!

Question: i havent tried many drinks, but what i've tried were pretty nasty and i havent exactly built up a high tolerance.
So I'd like some suggestions for drinks for beginners-- that many people would enjoy drinking and would not get drunk after a sip.

As a former bartender, might I recommend any of the following?

Screwdriver (vodka, orange juice)
Screw-up (vodka, orange juice and seven-up)
Brown Cow (Kahlua and milk)
Strawberry Marguerita (Tequila, lime juice and strawberries)
Tequila Sunrise (Tequila, orange juice and grenadine)
White Russian (Kahlua, vodka and milk)
Singapore Sling (Gin plus fruit juices - can't recall which ones though)

As was mentioned, you should enjoy many of the "fruity" cocktails (a term for alcohol mixed with juice ... hiballs are alcohol mixed with pop). Mike's Hard Lemonade is also very yummy and comes in various flavours.

Enjoy but remember to NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!

Try some mixed or fruity drinks like a margarita, a kamikaze, a tequila sunrise, or a daiquiri.

have you tried wine coolers, they tend to be a little more on the sweet side which helps to mask the alcohol flavor. also something like smirnoff ice (they have lots of flavors now), or mike's hard lemonade is good too. if you want somthing harder, vodka is good cuz you can pretty much mix it with anything, oj is always good with it. or any kind of punch or juice you have on hand.

If you like fruity drinks try a Malibu barbie, all the malibu rums, pineapple juice, splash of OJ and grenadine, tastes tropical but not like booze. You could also try like a white Russian, which is a classic, vodka, Kahlua, and milk.. You can then work your way up to a lemon drop, sour appletini. Its fun to try new things but remember if you dont drink alot try them in stride they may taste like punch but can knock you down hard!

2 ounces vodka, 2 ounces kahlua on ice

Try a Pina Colada.
It's not to strong and the pineapple and coconut
kill the taste of the alcohol.

Beginner eh...um...3 options beer apart! Beer is YUCK to taste!

1. 30 ml Old Monk (Dark Rum) + 2 cubes of ice and 3 mins wait to chill the liquor! Then 60 ml Thumbs Up (no alternatives here!) + no mixing ok! + 2 mins wait! Top up with 1 ice cube and 30 ml cold water! enjoy a nice caramel flavored drink and its not gonna get ya high until 3 rounds!

2. 30 ml vodka or white rum + 2 cubes of ice and 3 mins wait to chill the liquor! Then 60 ml Sprite (no alternatives here!) + no mixing! Top up with 1 ice cube and 30 ml plain water! Add a small fresh lemon piece! squeeze it for more flavor!

3. The last and the best! 30 ml Mansion House (grape Brandy) + 120 ml fresh coconut water...not the white malai inside ok...just the water! no ice! mix well and drink! the sweeter the water...the better! enjoy with a dash of mango pickle or Thokku (mashed mango pickle!)!!!

Cheers mate!!!

Something tasty and easy that I like is rootbeer and vanilla vodka, to me it tastes like a rootbeer float. You can make it as strong or as week as you want. You can also add butterschnapps and it brings out a nice caramel flavor.

I also really like pairing various fruit juices with the flavored vodka, Lime Vodka with Lemonade is really good, I also like doing a screw driver with orange flavored vodka, it tends to make the alcohol taste not as strong. I'm a big vodka girl though. :)

Start with coolers there are so many flavors and in some of them you really can't taste the alcohol in it!

Diet Coke and Malibu Rum. If you like Pina Coladas you will love this.

Here are some really good options for you for drinks that are nasty..some coconut flavored, and some just sweet and light.
