How long will unopened refrigerated wine last??!

Question: I hosted a Halloween party last October and refrigerator several bottles of my favorite wine (blush) in anticipation of it being served. The bottles are unopened, but I was just wondering if the span of the wine has been effected since it has been refrigerated (in a regular refrigerator) for about six months...I am pregnan which is the reason the bottles are still in the frig :- ) but I would love to be able to drink it when after the baby comes :- )

If they are corked bottles, they need to be stored on their side to keep the cork wet or they will go bad. If not, they should be just fine. Congrats on your pregnancy and good luck!

Its perfectly good.
Leave them in the fridge however.
Don't take them out and then refridge again.
They can last years( unopened).

no i'm pretty sure wine can't go bad

The wine will be fine...it doesn't need to be refrigerated.

I dont know, there was a commercial on the other day boasting about how their wine will stay fresh in the fridge after opening for 6 weeks, so im not sure. I've never had a problem though.

if left for long enough i bet it will taste like vinegar

hey , don't worry.. keep them refrigerated till u want . It won't get spoiled till it is opened as wine contains alcohol. but when u open the bottles try to consume them earlier as some microorganisms have high tolerance for alcohol and moreover u will lose that tingy tinglling flavour, the sparkle of wine , its gaseous bubbles and it will get oxidised gradually and lose its real character and will become acidic ......in short then it won"t remain wine .
