Why is it called "corona extra" ? i give best answer?!

Question: It's called "Extra" simply because it is supposed to be a step above in quality to other beers, according to the numbskulls who first brewed this swill in 1925. Corona Extra and Corona are the same thing. Corona Extra was always labelled as such, and Corona Light wasn't brewed until 1989 - 64 years later... the concept of light beer wans't even considered until the 60s.
I also think that the "extra" refers to the additional time needed to get the taste of this sub-standard "beer" off of your tongue so you can enjoy real beer...

Cheers.

Extra "kick" over regular Corona beer.

So that they could later come out with a 'corona light'

My guess is that it has more booze in it.

Corona Extra: 4.6 ABV
Corona Light: 3.7 ABV

Because they needed extra skunks to piss in the bottle!
