yes, they do...self check out just means you scan and bag..there is a person overseeing all checkouts...she/he has a computer that monitors purchases.
do they even allow you to buy alcohol at the self-checkout? i'm sure it would require a cashier to approve a purchase of alcohol. i'm sure stores would have caught on by now if minors were purchasing alcohol at the self-checkout.

Yes. I do find that the women check out attendents card regularly, even if they've seen me 2000 times! But, the men are pretty cool about not checking since they know I am a regular.

They dont sell alcahol in PA but they do sell cigarettes and yes they card you at the self checkouts for those so I imagine booze would be even more strict...wait til you are 21, troublemaker!
