Bouncing in a nightclub?!
Bouncing in a nightclub?
I usually dont work security in a club but they were short staffed that night so I agreed to it.
He was already approached about putting his feet up on the table. He started slamming his drink down to get attention every time I turned my head. then I saw him harrassing other people when they had their backs turned.
he would look over at me every time-to see what he could get away with. Finally they "cheered" their beers together and smashed one of them all over the floor-basically purposely. SO I told him he had to go. So they naturally were outraged- WHAT THE **** WHAT?
Afterwards I realized the bar lost 2 customers who would have spent more money. and they probably wont be back again for a while, and they were the type to dump 50 each a night. Did I do the right thing? Should I have let them keep drinking. Was it too early to kick them out? Should it have been a warning? It seemed like they wanted to be kicked out. SHould I have been nice about it to keep them coming?

from on bouncer to one in training thay start get a bit tooo rude or acting like jackass,s it,s time for em to hit the road cuse the more thay think thay can get away with the more thire going to try and then that can lead to all kind,s of bs cuse when thire to drunk to care well that,s why i keep a leather sap handy for the visiouse drunk,s who don,t give a **** your boss,s place he want,s em out it,s his call but remind him thay get too dammm drunk it,s his place thire going to wreck
Its your job as a bouncer to kick the guys out. The bar might miss out on those customers, but if they were allowed to continue that trashy behavior you'd lose other customers.
You did the right thing, but more importantly its just a job. Don't sweat it.
They were warned about putting their feet on the table, so you have every right to toss them out.
I worked the front door for a few places. When people were out of control we would call over the head set or phone and have them removed...some times with out warning...some times more forcibly than others if ya know what I mean.
The great thing about having people at the door, when the come in and show their ID's- they are warned no-- "NO BS tonight, ok guys / gals".
Your job is to keep the bar "safe" for other patrons.
You did the right thing, they should be happy someone didn't "remove" them the old school way.
You did the right thing. You did your job.
It's a public establishment. There are other people to think about than the one or two jackasses trying to get some attention. Those two created an environment that would be uncomfortable to be around. No telling how many were annoyed by them and took their money elsewhere.
The bar should be great-full you are keeping the place free of idiots. Where would you like to grab a beer? Someplace that looks the other way when people are getting out of hand or a place that enforces a no jackass policy?
