I have a Bass beer bottle with the code L7068SL 10:09. What date was it made?!
Anny more info? I'll try to help.
Cheers.
(EDIT)
I'll dig through some files and get back to you by tomorrow morning, unless you get it before that...
Sorry for the wait.
(EDIT)
Okay, here you go...
This information is from someone I know who still sells Bass...
"Bass is good for one year after packaging."
"2 lines printed"
"Line 1 – Julian code + time and location"
"Line 2 – best before end"
"That code should be brewed on November 7th 2006 - location is Samlesbury from tank “Z”
(I don't know how he got tank Z, it must be a reference to the final number 8, for whatever reason.)
"No beer is brewed in St Louis"
Long story short, your beer is 6 months past expiration. As long as it hasn't seen extreme temperatures it should be okay to drink... but definitely not brewery fresh.
Answers: Are you in the US? Is that the only code on the bottle? I used to sell Bass, but that series of numbers doesn't seem familiar to me.

the L7068SL means it was made in St. Louis on August 6, 2007.
