Question:

Has anyone tasted the new Miller Chill beer?

I have not which way iam asking. If so is it good?

this what i found

Tired of messing around with lime and salt every time you want to drink a Corona?

Miller Brewing wants to make your life easier. Aiming at the Hispanic market, Miller is introducing a beer already flavored with lime and salt.

Miller Chill, modeled after a popular style of Mexican beer called a “chelada,” will be test marketed throughout Florida, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and San Diego, said Pete Marino, a spokesman for the Milwaukee-based brewer. The company hopes to eventually expand the line nationwide, he said.

The lime green bottles feature green and silver modular designs reminiscent of Aztec art, with the word “Chill” in bold black letters across the front and “Chelada style”

Answers:
Nope! Not likely to try it, either!

Corona requires lime and salt simply to kill the skunkiness created when UV penetrates the clear glass bottle and catalyzes hops oils into mercaptans, part of the stink of a skunk. Without SOMETHING to try hiding the nastiness, it's undrinkable. (Actually, I think it's undrinkable anyway...)

Miller at least uses hops oils which have been chemically stabilized, but why would I want to drink a beer which has been altered and adulterated with lime and salt? I'll stick to more natural brews, thanks, and enjoy them a whole lot more!

Sounds like it's similar to Anheuser-Busch Tequiza brand.

I have not tried it, but it certainly sounds like a marketing ploy for people who don't really like beer.

Do you know why they put lime or salt in beer? Because the beer tastes horrible. So instead of drinking beer that needs flavor, or beer that has no flavor, I drink beer that's actually good. That makes my life easier.

I have not had this miller chill, however here is what a few people think of it

I love Miller beer and I absolutely hate it that they have to do **** like this to fight BUD. That said I probably will try it when I see it. As I write this I'm on my 6th Tecate. A good beer that occasionally will be in my price range. I like Corona every now and then and if Miller can make a cheap version it probably is a good thing.

No. Nor do I plan too. I find the marketing slogan "beerveza" to be offensive, to those of us who speak Spanish. As an avid fan of Tecate, I say, if it's not broke don't fix it.

I doubt I will be trying this beer, but here is a link to some reviews on it.

not yet !

POSITIVE -- I did try it and I liked it Very much. Called some friends to see if they tried it, they did, they loved it and so did their visiting relatives. I liked it enough to google it. Saw some negative comments - especially from those who haven't even popped a top. Now if you are a die hard German beer lover or anything close - all the heavy bitters etc. - you know this is not the beer for you. Lots of people, lots of taste buds, what may taste great to you doesn't work for me and so it goes. If everyone liked A one and only beer, what a bloody boaring world this would be.

I thought "Miller Chill" a very crisp clean taste. Seasonal beer? I think it a great spring, summer, fall beer. No, can't see myself drinking it in the dead of winter but then again, a fire at the ski lodge, ya-maybe. I hope it goes nation wide as I don't live in the state(s) it is produced. I would go buy some for this weekend if it were available. I like what I like and will buy what I like and you'll do the same.
