well it's not new, but in my world lond island ice tea will always be "hot and fashionable".
Well at the moment I believe the most popular drink I've been making is the Cosmopolitan. I really noticed that the popularity of the drink skyrocketed with the increasing number of people who watch the tv show "Sex and the City." I myself dont watch the show, but my female friends (and a gay guy that im friends with as well) really have been talking about it, and i see more and more commercials for it on local channels. Another drink that became very popular because of a movie were Martinis, especially ones "Shaken, not stirred" around the time that the most recent Bond films have come out.
A group of drinks that really soared was anything with Scotch in it...I noticed that around the time "Anchorman" came out, I even noticed more people saying that "Scotchy scotch scotch" line that Will Ferril's character said. To me it is funny to see how the popularity of drinks increases with tv shows or movies.
Other than that some drinks that ive been making less of: Manhattens and anything with brandy.
Anything with pomegranate juice in it. They are even coming out with pomegranate vodkas.
Mojito's are the #1 mixed drink in the country, right now....
Also, your Cosmo's flavored Martini's are very hot...
Capainha's are starting to acquire quite a following, and I wouldn't be surprised if Agua Luca becomes the next big thing. I also make a variation on the mojito using fresh raspberries and sweet basil.

I like kamikazis. I also enjoy top shelf tequila (like don julio) with a beer chaser.
if you guys are fans of star-trek you could make a romulan ale. you take 2 shot bols blue, 2 shots 100 proof smirnoff blue label, 1/2 shot lemon juice and pour over ice and top up with club soda and drink through a straw. tasty.
