Answers: what do people think about the shop lidl aldi and them sort of shops?

i never go in them lol!! not one near me and besides they are a bit too cheap. it makes you wonder how many poor peopl have been abused.

Cheap and cheerful I hear..........More of a Tesco shopper.

I love em!! Hate Tesco with a vengance so I use them a lot and having spent time in Germany anyhow, I know their products well.

Great value, although I don't shop in them regularly.

i quite like aldi, its cheap and the qualitys not bad.
I actuslly dont have a bad thing to say about aldi :)
(never been to a lidl or anythign else lol)

not keen on the things they sell. which is a shame because its dirt cheap. more of a tesco/sainsbury's shopper myself Marks and Spencer's for the 'bits' if I have some extra money =]

I like Aldi they sell good stuff.

great. ive just brought some running gear from aldis and its good stuff.

Cheaper end of the scale. ave shopped in there for bits and pieces usually Tesco or Asda

Good for people who cant afford anything better.

Most products there are relatively unknown, personally I prefer know brands.

Like them both.

The quality of goods in Lidl and Aldi are usually quite reasonable as long as you can read German or Italian.
Their trick is to concentrate on people who buy things in bulk such as a crate of baked beans and who aren't worried about branding.
They keep the variety of similar goods small so they can minimise shipping/administration costs of having more than one brand of say baked beans shipped from several locations.
However the percieved savings are sometimes not as much as you might think compared to Tescos if you are doing a normal shop.
Rule of thumb if you're out to buy a reasonable amount of only a few items then go to Lidl or Aldi.
If you're out with a shopping list with a lot of branded items on it because that's all people will eat then go to Tescos.

Brand names not instantly recognised but the quality is first class, the product range isn't as vast as the big 4 supermarkets but I'd rather buy Lidl electrical goods than the Asda/Tesco's brand.

Very good
Take no notice of the snobs who sat they are pants.
You have to get used to the labels but they beat all the big 4 for prices
I have seen people clear their Chablis wine from the shelves.
Currently have a supply of South African wines that were much cheaper than Sainsburys.[ mind you did get in France but the same wine can be found here as I said at a fraction of the cost in JS]
Shops here in UK stock a lot of branded goods.
You can get some good bargains some of it can be rubbish though.
Check their websites for offers/prices.
It is low cost so dont expect lots of staff to be around.
Off to Lidl in a minute to get my fruit, veg, meat.
There gammon joints are brill.
I belive Aldis face cream was out selling Boots varieties a few weeks ago after it was mentioned in magazine.

Go have a look.

Sorry old bean i only shop at Harrods, fortnum & mason and Kwik Save

yes they are good stores, there is an aldi and a lidl near me, they are both good quality and very cheap! so good value for money
