If people are so against drinking then why do they come to beer wine and spirits?!
Answers: i noticed there are all of these people that say stop drinking and are always saying stuff about people shouldn't drink and how it's so bad for you. well if they have a problem then why do they come to this section and answer our questions with nonsense that we don't need to hear?
I've been coming here for two years now, and I absolutely agree with you. I hate the trolls that dislike drinking...but alas...all we can do is ignore them, and answer questions about drinking with proper knowledgeable answers.

Simply put, a lot of people like to force their opinions and desires upon others. They call themselves activists.
If someone is strongly against drinking, they might come here because they know this is a place where their opinion will be heard and will draw a reaction, it's that reaction that they want.
There is a difference though between forcing anti-drinking opinions on people and warning people of caution. A lot of people that appreciate beer, wine, and spirits know how to drink responsibly and within their limits. Most mature drinkers would warn against excessive drinking at one time, but they would not admonish people for drinking at all.
Just like reformed smokers and the like....They miss it and they are jealous....Maybe they are diabetic and can't drink anymore and don't want you to end up like them...

I guess lack of knowledge is not the same as lack of opinion.
Earlier today was the first time I've asked a question in this section, and not gotten a load of negative responses telling me not to drink. I remember I asked a question about stocking up on beer when I was going away to school out in the Country a couple of months ago, and I only received one or two helpful answers, along with around fifteen telling me to quit drinking.
Maybe it's because they care about your well-being, health, and immortal soul. Or they're just a bunch of as$holes wanting to voice their opinion on yahoo.
Also, a lot of the folks aren't necessarily trolling around the beer, wine, spirits section, they just happen to see a BWS question pop up on the main yahoo answers page or Food&Drink section, feel the need to say something ridiculous so they get two points.
