I had a couple of shots.. Is it ok to drink wine?!

Question: My b/f and I didn't want to go out and spend a bunch of money drinking at a bar, so we had a couple of shots at our home (me vodka, him tequila).. If I drink a couple of glasses of wine now will it mix badly with the liquor (will it make me sick)? I'm thinking of that old rhyme:
Liquor before beer, you're in the clear,
Beer before liquor, never sicker.

That's what makes me wonder. Anyone's help is appreciated!

I would say you guys should be fine, as long as you don't drink too much wine. :)

For me, shots and wine are the strongest forms of alcohol. So mixing too much of both would be bad news.

If you dont go crazy on it, its like you never had i just dont drink a bottle each night!

Never phases me.

the only time that myth is really true is if you mix something like baileys (anything with milk) with beer or citrus because it will cause it to curdle in your stomach outside of that the only time you should get sick is when your body starts rejecting the alcohol.

It's no problem. I like a Martini, which is Gin (whiskey) mixed with Vermouth (wine).

well, ive mixed tons of alcohols, and never been seriously sick (but maybe thats just luck). im sure a couple glasses of wine won't do anything to bad.
