Is Crystal Light good for you?!

Question:

Is Crystal Light good for you?

i love this stuff and drink it daily. i even let my children drink it. tell me the side effects.

Answers:
i dont think it has any vitamins/nutrients in it, if thats what youre asking. but it has no sugar, only 5 calories per serrving. when "kool-aid" has about 50 calories and 5grams of sugar per serving. a normal person drinks about 2 servings at a time...so it certainly is BETTER for you. plus its easier to get your 8cups of water per day.

im a foodie!

i dont think it would hurt u, its just like drinking lemonade all the time

its nasty..my mother loves that stuff! and no as long as its light

it contains an artificial sweetener and you don't want to constantly drink it. i was hooked on the sticks for water bottles for a while and it caused my skin to break out

the fake sugar is supposedly bad for you. i'm not allowed to drink it..

i dont think there area side affects for it
its just something you can mix with water if you dont like plane water

The best thing to know about this drink is that it contains NO NATURAL FRUIT JUICE! Check the contents of the mix. It has no nutrient value.

It is fine. It has virtually no calories, so the fact that it has no nutritional value means nothing aslong as your are eating right.

Crystal Light contains Aspartame, a sweetner. It is an excitotoxin, such as monosodium glutamate (MSG) which of course is unhealthy.

"Sold under dozens of brand names such as NutraSweet and Equal, aspartame breaks down within 20 minutes at room temperature into several primary toxic and dangerous ingredients:

1. DKP (diketopiperazine) (When ingested, converts to a near duplicate of a powerful brain tumor causing agent)
2. Formic Acid (ant venom)
3. Formaldehyde (embalming fluid)
4. Methanol (causes blindness...extremely dangerous substance)

Common Examples:

Diet soft drinks, sugar free gums, sugar free Kool Aid, Crystal Light, childrens' medications, and thousands of other products claiming to be 'low calorie', 'diet', or 'sugar free'. "

So no, it is not good for you. Hope that this helps!
