Beer at restaurants?!

Question: Beer at restaurants!?
i think drinking to get drunk is wrong, but i do enjoy drinking beer with food!. the thing is i never really ordered beer in restaurants!. if im in a casual restaurant and want a pitcher of beer, how do i ask!? do i specify the type of beer or just say "can i get a pitcher!?"!. also, what type of restaurants have different beer besides stuff like bud and coors on tap!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It depends what restaurant you are at!.!.!.some dont serve pitchers, but many do so yea you do just ask for a pitcher and just specify the beer!.!.!.!.most restaurants have beer other than bud and coors on tap like they also have blue moon, fosters, yeungling, guinness, etc!.!.!.i know places like Outback, Bonefish, Chili's, and pretty much a lot of other places have them, especially chains and more upscales ones or chainsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Every restaurant will be different!. Just ask them what they have on tap!. Restaurants usually don't sell beer by the pitchers, usually by the glass or pint!. Pitchers are usually reserved for sports bars and hooters!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yea just ask for a pitcher of whatever you want and they usually have molson and labatt also sam adams on tap!. miller too i'm pretty sure!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

drinking beer will get you drunk, unless you mean binge drinking, of which I only partake in occasionally!. Drink belgian or Japanese beers btw, they rockWww@FoodAQ@Com

i love coors lite so if i went to a restaurant i prolly wouldn't ask for a hole pitcher but when they said wut to drink i'd say coors lite in a bottle, or coors lite draugh, or you would say a pitcher of coors light!. on the menu it usually tells you the different beers!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That entirely depends on where you live, mostly!. Here in Wisconsin MANY of our restaurants serve multiple kinds of beer, but thats because Wisconsin is a craft beer state!. But usually you can probably just tell them you want a pitcher of "Bud Light" or whatever it is you want!.!.!. blech!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, you need to specify what you want especially when they have more than one thing on tap!.!.!.they won't know what you want unless you tell them! Most restaurants have more than just Bud and Coors on tap!.!.!.you'll just have to ask them what they have!. Some places have 60+ beers on tap!.!.you could find local brews, imported beer, domestic, etc!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

check this place out!. www!.oldchicago!.com !. see if there's one near you!. they don't have pitchers, but they do have 110 brews, and about 40 are on tap!. good food too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

all ya gotta say is Im lookin to get ****** up tonight and make some bad decisions!.!.!.!.the waitress will immediately know what you are talking about and deliver a nice pitcher of their finest norweigen draft lager for you to enjoyWww@FoodAQ@Com

usually you should ask them for the type tha tyou want to drinkWww@FoodAQ@Com

It's very simple!. Look on the menu!. It will tell you what beer is available, or that beer IS available!. There should be a choice of by the glass or, if they have pitchers, it should be listed as well!.

There is nothing wrong in asking your server if they have pitchers!. If they do, the server will tell you what brands they are serving at the time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There's no harm in asking if a certain place serves pitchers, so don't hesitate to do so!.

In terms of what restaurants serve beer beside the typical bud/miller/coors, it's really a tough question to answer!.!. as it's going to vary strongly by both state and city!.

I will say that beer still lacks the respect the wine gets and for that reason it's a lot harder to find a place that serves quality beer, than what it is to find a place that serves quality wine!. Being much more of a beer fan, this is frustrating!.!. but true all the same!.

Old Chicago was mentioned in a previous answer and if you have one near by it's a place worth considering!. Not sure how 'respectful' of beer they are (in terms of using proper glassware and the like) as I've never been there!.!. but they do have a decent selection quantity wise!.

There are people out there, namely Garret Oliver of Brooklyn Brewing Company that is doing his part to educate restaurants about quality beer!.!.!. so finding said places will be a lot easier in the near future!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
