My friend just got "drunk" and didn't feel drunk, instead feels lousy?!

Question: My friend just got "drunk" and didn't feel drunk, instead feels lousy!?
Okay, so me and my friend decided to get drunk, I barely had any!. I wasn't really in the mood, but he wanted to, it was also his first time so he was anxious!. He never felt a "drunk feeling" but instead6 he is acting extremely odd, like it's suddenly some sort of mental thing!. Anyone know why!? I'm kinda worried

Other info-
First time for him getting drunk, unfortunately we only had rum

Young age, may have something to do with it!.

Please answer, I'm starting to get concerned!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
he is drunk, some people react differantly to alcohol!. A few shots in short period of time for a person that has never gotten drunk would hit him hard!. Rum also can have some weird effects on people!.

I have had releatives blacking out and waking up in weird places, one relative took an axe and choped holes in everything in sight!.

So be carefull he doesnt turn pyscottic!.

Luckelly i didnt inherret that trait!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Alcohol and substances affect people in different ways, there could be many factors to this!. Does he take any sort of medication!? Or consume any drugs recently!? Did he eat before you guys drank!? There are plenty of factors that would be questioned before being able to give a decent answer!.

Though one could also be, it was purely placebo!. Often if one doesn't know how exactly one should feel but they know somehow they should feel/act different the brain will kick it up a notch and let it run it's way!.!.!.!.

As far as feeling concerned I wouldn't sweat it much!. Perhaps this is a good thing for him, I mean if he drank for the first time and didn't like it, perhaps he won't continue to do under age drinking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not sure but I always found it worked this way:

1) Hard liqueur makes you a "mean" drunk
2) Beer makes you a "silly" drunk and
3) Wine makes you a "sick" drunk!.
4) Any of the above makes you a "stupid" drunk

Bet he had wine, huh!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Alcohol is a depressant and diminishes your inhibitions!. In other words it's a downer and It tends to amplify feelings!.

The idea of getting drunk is sometimes more effective than how much you drink, especially for someone who hasn't drank a lot before!. Perhaps he doesn't know what a "drunk feeling" should even feel like or maybe he doesn't like the feeling of not being in control of his body!.

What about the behavior is odd!?

I don't know how much you are having weather it is "just rum" or not, but getting drunk at a young age can alter brain chemistry!. There is a reason the drinking age is 21!. A human brain isn't fully developed until around 17-21!. Alcohol poisoning can have permanent effects on a young person's mental functioning!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Alcohol poisoning usually results in depression of body functions, so a poisoned person would be sleepy, in bad case even comatose, with slow breathing and heart pulse!.
Alcohol poisoning is due to alcohol action on the brain - this happens right after large dose of alcohol!. Alcohol can also affect intestine - it can cause diarrhea!.

Hangover is due to acetaldehide - this is a breakdown product of alcohol, and it causes nausea, headache, tiredness - this occurs some hours after drinking!.

What your friend experiences, is neither alcohol poisoning, neither hangover, he seems to be touched by alcohol, and excited about a new feeling!. Alcohol may remove brakes from someone's tongue; people may speak out many things, secrets, when drunk!.

Typical drunk feeling like double vision, derranged sense of equilibrium are most expressed during walking!.

How someone acts, while drunk, also depends on the company he/she has!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
