Where do pubs and bars get they're drinks and equipment from?!

Question:

Where do pubs and bars get they're drinks and equipment from?

What kind of places do bars and pubs buy the barrels of beer from, and all the equipment such as the first fittings and the beer taps etc. I'm talking about big brand names such as fosters and carlsberg.

Has anyone got the websites of companies that supply pubs and bars barrels of beer, taps and fittings? Preferably based in the West Midlands.

Thanks in advance

Answers:
Just look in yellow pages for Bar Supplies and wine beer and spirit merchants. They used to be called Licenced Vintners. There are loads out there.

In the US, you can only buy the kegs and tappers and fittings from an approved distributor in your alcohol district. You have to have an account with them. And they'll randomly show up to clean out the lines.

Not sure about your area specifically, but there are suppliers, Wallaces express, Scottish and newcastle etc. Don't know where you'd find the numbers though...Business pages?? might be under catering suppliers?? Or try Brewery numbers, or just ask in your local where they got it, or ask a pub/bar design company

These guys might be a good place to start. Check out the website and give them a call, they may be able to advise you on your other requirements.

The industry also has its own trade magazines. Check out the link below for "the Publican".

The brewery mainly in the UK.
