There are several organic beers that are commercially available!.!.!.Otter Creek's Wolaver beers & Peak Organic are two that come to mind!. If not organic, look for something locally brewed, or any craft beer as opposed to one from a macro brewery like Miller, Coors, Heineken, etc!. Most craft breweries will use better ingredients &malts instead of adjuncts like corn & rice (and whatever else) in their brewing process!. As long as you eat healthy, get some exercise & don't overindulge in alcohol too often, you shouldn't gain weight!. I drink beer often and am small & in decent shape!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh, you absolutely must visit Portland OR! There are at least four local brewpubs that make organic beer!. Taste the same!? You probably couldn't taste the difference between organic grains and hops and whatever the alternative is, but every craft brewery has their own methods and recipes!.
However, as far as being lower in calories, not at all!. Most craft breweries that would make an organic beer don't skimp on the malts!. But hey, if you want to reduce calories, I would drink less of a good beer rather than more of a crappy low carb(ie low malt) beer!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
