its a scotch/whiskey- i know someone who sed its nice,any opinions? not to get drunk, just for a nice drink!!!!

it's a brand of amaretto, a liqueur, not whiskey. it's almond flavored, but made from apricot pits. it's not at strong as whiskey, either, only 28% (or 56 proof).

Disaronto is an almond liquer. Tastes like marzipan. see also Ameretto. Nice with a coffee after dinner, can be a bit sickly if you have too much. Definitely have over ice
Disaronno tastes of almonds. If you like almonds/marzipan then you will probably enjoy it.
My favourite way to drink it is as a "Dr Pepper". Get a glass, half fill with a light beer or lager, half fill with cola, then drop a shot of disaronno in. Tastes just like Dr Pepper!

Disaronno is amaretto. It's very awesome. It tastes incredible as part of an amaretto sour and also as a godfather which is amaretto and scotch on the rocks.
Very good end-of-the-day drink, especially with a shot of sour mix blended in. It's called an Amaretto Sour. You can even get fancy and put a drop of grenadine in for a Cherry Amaretto Sour. Yum!
Not by itself. It's a pretty decent amaretto, so put some lemon juice and sugar in it and have an amaretto sour.
That commercial where people order it straight is BS.

A nice liqueur, but some people find it harsh when drank straight up or on the rocks. I prefer Frangelico which is a hazelnut liqueur, port, or a dessert wine such as an ice wine or Sauternes.
i seen the commercial hundreds of times so i decided to try it, & i like it over ice. i am going to try it mixed to see how that is too, but its great alone. can't drink alot of it thou as it's sweet tasting i think i would get sick of it if i had to many.
i have been experimenting alot lately because it is nice after a long week to have a drink on a relaxing friday night, i'm not into getting drunk either. good luck on trying it, even if you don't like it alone, you can use it up mixed with something.....tc
disaronno is the world's leading brand of amaretto, an italian almond liqueur. it's a beautiful drink like liquid marzipan especially nice in coffee.
I like it but it is an Italian almond flavoured drink, not a whisky. It's good with lots and lots of ice. More importantly it's lovely to share with someone special. If you enjoy chilled desserts it is fantastic as the flavouring in a parfait.
If you like almonds, then yes it's delightful.
It has an almond sort of taste and is evocative of Cointreau.
It's a fantastic drink to have with sours.
Just stick a double measure in a shaker with ice, add 10mls of lemon juice and a dash of sugar syrup (or 3 teaspoons sugar) shake and serve over ice in a tumbler.
