Tuscany wines are often overpriced for their real value (my opinion)!. Chianti is a quite popular average wine, and you will find a wide range of prices for this product (starting from less than 5€ to more than 30€ for a 0!.75 liter bottle, it depends on brand and age )!. Brunello di Montalcino, Ornellaia, Sassicaia and other so-called Supertuscany wines costs more than 70-100 € /bottle (check on ebay!.!.)!.

By chosing some Emilia-Romagna or Veneto wine you will obtain an high quality product, spending less than a half!. Affordable wines are, or example, Merlot, Cabernet, Sangiovese Superiore, Valpoilcella, Amarone, Bardolino, Raboso (<-- my preferred)!.

Southern Italy red wines are oustanding, but often more alcoholic and strong if compared to Northern Italy ones!. Primitivo, Greco di Tufo, Sirah!.!.!.!.

By the way, don't make the mistake to buy wines bottles at restaurant, they could ask 25+€ for a wine that, in spirits shop or at supermkt, you can find at 5 €!.

If you're intersted in wines, don't mistake, and buy an english -translated wine-guide!. You can take one in almost every book shop!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
