Does apple cidar vinegar expire?!

Question:

Does apple cidar vinegar expire?

Does apple cidar expire? I need to know how old is too old. I have one that is 2 years old. Help!

Answers:
Eventually--after YEARS--a bottle of vinegar will develop a bit of mold. Then it's gone bad.

If you can't see the mold, then use it freely.

I don't think it does quickly at least...There should be an expiration date on it. Do you know that apple cider vinegar is GREAT for if you are pregnant and if you have indigestion? You take a tablespoon of it just before you eat and it helps you digest your food quicker so you don't feel icky because of eating. It is great stuff!

Vinegar doesn't expire - it loses it flavor but unless it smells bad it is just fine.

Buying and Storing Tips
The shelf life of vinegar is almost indefinite. Because of its acid nature, vinegar is self-preserving and does not need refrigeration. White vinegar will remain virtually unchanged over an extended period of time. And, while some changes can be observed in other types of vinegars, such as color changes or the development of a haze or sediment, this is only an aesthetic change. The product can still be used with confidence.
