Question:

What is the difference between a Mai Tai and a suffering Bas/@rd?

Answers:
They all taste alike to me and get me = as smashed.....it's such a weird buzz too, you think you are fine and then when you go to get up..............ca.....boom......

Suffering Bastard:
1 1/2 oz rum
1 oz overproof rum
3/4 oz Orange Curacao liqueur
1/2 oz orgeat syrup
1 oz fresh lime juice
2 oz fresh orange juice

Shake all ingredients well and strain into an ice-filled double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with slices of orange and lime, and serve on old-fashioned glass.

Mai-Tai:
1 oz light rum
1/2 oz creme de almond
1/2 oz triple sec
sweet and sour mix
pineapple juice
1/2 oz Myer's? dark rum

Pour light rum, creme de almond and triple sec, in order, into a collins glass. Almost fill with equal parts of sweet and sour mix and pineapple juice. Add dark rum, a large straw, and serve unstirred.

The difference between a Mai Tai and a suffering Bas/@rd, is... 12 Mai Tai's! You'll be a-sufferin' alright!
The S.B. is:
1 1/2 oz rum
1 oz overproof rum (151)
3/4 oz Orange Curacao liqueur
1/2 oz orgeat syrup
1 oz fresh lime juice
2 oz fresh orange juice

...and the M.T is:
1 oz light rum
1/2 oz creme de almond
1/2 oz triple sec
sweet and sour mix
pineapple juice
1/2 oz Myer's? dark rum

Both respectably strong and should carry the warning "caution probably flammable"!

Best wishes!

Suffering Bastard
1 oz Gin
1 oz Rum
1/2 oz Lime juice
1 dash Bitters
1 oz Ginger ale

Mai Tai
3cl (6 parts) white rum
3cl (6 parts) dark rum
1.5cl (3 parts) orange cura?ao
1.5cl (3 parts) Orgeat syrup
1cl (2 parts) fresh lime or pineapple juice
Grenadine

There is no Gin or Ginger Ale in a Mai Tai. And I have never had a Mai Tai that had Creme de Almond in it.
